The short version: this website does not collect anything about you. There is no form, no account, no newsletter and no tracking. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Who is responsible
Neilson Cycles, Shop 2, 22 on Oxford, Oxford Street, Durbanville, Cape Town, 7550, is the responsible party. You can reach us on 078 311 8745 or at the address above. The website is built and maintained by Trevern Technologies on our behalf.
What this website collects
Nothing. There is no contact form, no booking form and no login. There is nowhere on this site to type anything, so there is nothing for us to store.
If you phone us, we have your number because you called, in the same way as any phone call. That is not something this website does.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social media trackers and no third-party scripts of any kind. Nothing is stored in your browser.
The map on the contact page is the one exception, and it only loads if you pressShow map. Until you press it, nothing at all is requested from Google. Once you do, the map comes from Google and Google may set its own cookies. That choice is yours, and pressing the button is the only way it happens.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, its servers record technical details of requests, including your IP address, in order to serve pages and keep the site online. We do not have access to those records as a list of visitors.
- Google, only if you press Show map, as described above.
That is the whole list. We do not sell anything about you, because we do not have anything about you.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. In this case the answer will usually be that we hold nothing from the website. Phone the workshop on 078 311 8745 and we will help. If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
When online booking arrives
We are building online booking, and that will collect personal information, because a booking needs your name and a number to reach you on. This notice will be updated before that goes live, not after.
